We’re officially launching our search for Medway’s community heroes, as the 2027 Pride in Medway Awards mark a very special milestone — our 25th anniversary.
Nominations are now open, and we’re calling on residents, businesses and organisations across Medway to help us shine a light on the people who make a difference every day.
For 25 years, the Pride in Medway Awards have recognised the individuals, groups, schools, organisations and businesses who go above and beyond to make Medway a better place to live, work and grow.
Over the years, we’ve heard hundreds of inspiring community stories, with around 200 nominations received each year. From incredible fundraising and volunteering to acts of kindness, courage, environmental projects and young people making a difference, the awards have given Medway’s unsung heroes a chance to have their stories heard.
One incredible community, 25 years of stories
At the heart of the Pride in Medway Awards are the people whose contributions can sometimes go unnoticed.
They’re the volunteers who continually give up their time, the individuals who support others through difficult moments, the fundraisers who bring their communities together and the organisations and businesses working hard to make a positive difference locally.
That’s why our awards are open to everyone. You don’t need to be a business, an organisation or a community group to make a nomination if someone in your community has made a difference, we want to hear about them.
Our annual awards celebration brings around 150 people together for an evening dedicated to celebrating the very best of Medway, including finalists, winners, sponsors and local stakeholders.
And as we reach our Silver Anniversary, we’re looking forward to making this year’s celebration particularly special.
Nominations are now open
Nominations for the 2027 Pride in Medway Awards are now open and will remain open until January 2027.
That gives you around four months to think about the people, groups and organisations who deserve to be recognised.
Whether it’s a neighbour who is always there to help, a volunteer who gives up their time week after week, a young person making a difference, a business supporting its community or an organisation going above and beyond now is the time to tell us their story.

We’re also inviting businesses and organisations to join us in celebrating our Silver Anniversary by becoming sponsors of the 2027 Pride in Medway Awards.
